HI! I am Leona, and I started this practice in 2007 in response to God's calling to help People  

find  Joy in Life's journey.  

This is my passion, and I am blessed to have a team of dynamic therapists share this call with me

Leona Richards-Bishop is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Trauma Specialist, Emotional Wellness Trainer, and Author who seeks to help others put JOY back in their HEARTS. 

Since earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Tougaloo College and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Delta State University, she has helped many students and individuals achieve a more emotionally balanced life in the mental health, school, and private practice settings.

Mrs. Bishop uses advanced psychotherapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients heal from painful past experiences.

Leona is a Board-Qualified Supervisor and EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training who is available to provide consultation and training workshops to broaden colleagues and the community on topics related to emotional wellness. 

She is licensed in Mississippi and Texas.

In 2021, she appeared as the "Balance Coach" for entrepreneur, Latesha Pearson, on the OWN network reality show, BELLE COLLECTIVE; Episode 8. In 2015, she acted as the professional expert on TV One Justice: By Any Means; Episode 115 - Sabrina Butler Porter Documentary. She has been featured in Ridgeland Life Magazine Winter 2014 Ed. and Jackson Free Press www.jacksonfreepress.com/news/2009/nov/04/leona-bishop.

Jenelia Branson, LPC

(Available only for Tele-Health Sessions)

Jenelia Branson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a sincere passion to see others succeed in life, especially in the area of mental health! She has over 15 years of experience in the field of counseling; and over 25 years of working with youth; and has practiced counseling in the school, mental health, and private practice sectors. 

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Tougaloo College and her Master’s of Science Degree in Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is recognized as a National Board Certified Counselor and National Board Certified School Counselor. Jenelia has also earned certification in Telemental Health. 

Her counseling style is pretty laid back. She has been described as supportive, warm, and compassionate, with a great sense of humor. She likes to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. 

She is here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. With your active participation, honesty, patience, and commitment, things can and will get better. 


JESSIE DAVIS, LPC

Jessie Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor who aims to address the overall wellness of clients seeking to find balance in their lives. Mrs. Davis received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology and her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. 

Since graduating in August of 2020, she  has worked with families, adults and adolescents in various settings - inpatient, outpatient, and private practice.

Her experience has afforded her the opportunity to address the needs of individuals challenged with trauma related symptoms, depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorders, and mood disorders.  

Mrs. Davis can help you meet your goals to feel less overwhelmed and more empowered to live a mentally-well life.   

MERFAT SALEh, p-lpc

Available for Evening and Weekend Appts. 

Merfat is a dedicated Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. Offering evening and weekend appointments, she is committed to meeting clients where they are, especially those who may not have insurance and need more affordable services.

With expertise in supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship difficulties, she takes a client-centered, compassionate approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth, and lasting positive change. Under the supervision of Leona Bishop, LPC-S, she upholds the highest professional and ethical standards as she pursues full licensure as a therapist at Count It All Joy Counseling.

Her integrative therapeutic approach blends client-centered therapy with Gestalt techniques, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, she empowers individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings while working toward meaningful personal development.

With a focus on helping clients tap into their inner strengths, build resilience, and cultivate self-acceptance, Merfat aims to inspire individuals to take charge of their journey toward healing and growth with confidence.

Semira Chowdhury, P-LPC

Available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 

I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist at Count It All Joy Counseling, committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strength. My approach blends evidence-based therapeutic techniques with empathy and mindfulness, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions.

I work collaboratively with clients to address their concerns, identify meaningful goals, and develop effective strategies for growth and healing. Rooted in empathy and respect for each individual’s unique journey, I aim to support clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, or life transitions.

Under the supervision of Leona Richards-Bishop, LPC-S, I am working toward full licensure while further developing my skills in trauma-informed care and other therapeutic approaches to emotional wellness. This journey reflects my deep commitment to providing the highest quality of care for those I serve.

Healing begins in a supportive and trusting therapeutic environment, and I am here to listen, guide, and equip you with tools to create lasting change. Together, we will work toward building a stronger, more balanced, and fulfilling life.
